Torbay Replication

Waiting for some sliders to come from Ebay USA this end to complete my Torbay effort, but for now here is the rotor.

The next stage is to mount some magnets on sliders shown below:

The magnets will be in a mount as below.

Which will meet the ground down arm on the Rotar

And when they meet they should rise on the sliders

More to come when the Sliders turn up!

Well sorry to say 5 weeks later and the sliders have not turned up and the guy from Ebay is not replying to emails :(

Thought I would try and Mill out some different sliders:

I also tried using Brass square section but too sticky.

In the end I went for Brass levers instead.

Ran out of time again, but it is nearly finished, just need to mill out the wheels and attached and a few fine tweaks and will see if she runs.

Sorry I am not posting the results of my experiments as this would take too much time.
But when I have something I can shout about and that works 100%, then be assured I will post an update.
For now this is just a Blog as such of what I am working on.
