Halbach Array

The Halbach Array is setting up magnets in a certain way so that you only get attraction on one side of the magnet.

After playing with the Tri-Force Gates I decided to have a go with a few Halbach Arrays today and thought I would try them with a Tri-Force Roller.

Here is a video showing what happened:

Next I wanted to make them longer by joining arrays together as below

Then Decided to make some longer lengths first, so just ordered 80 * 1/4inch cubes and I will make a couple of long lengths that should come out at just 200mm.
It will be interesting too see if it performs as good as the Tri-Force gate on longer lengths.

Sorry I am not posting the results of my experiments as this would take too much time.
But when I have something I can shout about and that works 100%, then be assured I will post an update.
For now this is just a Blog as such of what I am working on.
